Set high above the ocean’s edge, Shore Cliff Hotel has been a part of countless coastal getaways and road-trip memories. Now, we’re bringing new life to the place you know and love by refreshing guest rooms and gathering spaces with design that feels timeless yet distinctly of today.
Every detail is inspired by the rhythm of the Central Coast: the shifting hues of the sea, the warmth of the sun, and the easy comfort that keeps guests returning year after year.
What to Expect
The Shore Cliff Hotel renovation project is designed to enhance the overall guest experience through updates to our guest rooms and public spaces. Renovations will occur in phases beginning in October 2025, with a focus on creating refreshed spaces that reflect the beauty and ease of the Central Coast.
Renovation work will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During this time, we anticipate minimal disruption to guest services and will make every effort to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Guests will be placed in rooms located away from active work areas whenever possible.
Key Dates and Temporary Closures
Lobby: October 2025 – November 2025
Temporary check-in will be available in the three-story building adjacent to The Galley.
Breakfast Room: December 2025 – January 2026
While the breakfast room is closed, a grab-and-go breakfast will be served in the lobby.
Guest Rooms: October 2025 – January 2026
Renovations will be completed in phases with minimal impact to the guest experience.
